Epoguard QD Primer is two pack, quick drying high-solid epoxy paint with tolerance to abrasion; excellent adhesion and can be applied at high film build.

Intended use:

Epoguard QD Primer is used as both anti corrosive primer and intermediate layer on suitable prepared steel structure, galvanized steel, aluminum, stainless steel, aged coating surfaces for such application of tank, bridge, and production plants.

Components : Binders, powders, additives, and solvents
Color: Grey / Red oxide
Solid by volume : 75 ± 2 %
Theoretical coverage : 3.75 – 7.50 m2/liter/coat
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs): ≤ 250 g/L
Surface temperature 35ºC, Drying time (at relative humidity (RH) 50% & dry film thickness (DFT) 100μm):
- Surface dry (touch dry): 1.5h
- Hard dry: 3.5h
- Painting interval: minimum 3.5h. Actual drying time and painting interval time may be longer or shorter than provided data, depended on environmental temperature, dry film thickness, ventilation, humidity and number of coatings applied, etc.

Equipment/ methods: Brush, roller, conventional spray, airless spray
For airless spray gun:
- Nozzle tip size: 0.021” – 0.023”
- Angle to the surface: 65º – 80º
- Pressure at nozzle: 140 – 190 Kg/cm2 (2.000 – 2.600 Psi)
Standard Paint film thickness:
- Dry film thickness (DFT): 100µm
- Wet film thickness (WFT): 133µm. Film thickness will vary and is calculated as average.
Dilution ratio: Add in 5% - 15% TOA Thinner #31 by volume if thinning is necessary. Dilution percentage is depending on ambient temperature, relative humidity, paint film thickness, equipment, and application method.
