TOA Protile

SURFACE PREPARATION (NEW SURFACES):

• Ensure the surface is firm, clean, and free from dust, debris, cement residues, grease, or other contaminants.
• Thoroughly wash with water and scrub to remove any remaining debris or dust before applying TOA Protile adhesive.
• For porous surfaces, wet the surface until saturated before tile application.
• Allow at least 7 days of curing before tile installation for new plaster or levelling surfaces.

SURFACE PREPARATION (EXISTING SURFACES):

• Ensure the surface is clean, strong, and free from dust, debris, cement residues, paints and contaminants.
• Wash and scrub the surface clean with water.
• Remove any excess water on the surface before applying TOA Protile adhesive.

APPLICATION:

• Mix 20 kg of TOA PROTILE with 4.8-5.2 liters of clean water (ratio 3:1). Use a low-speed mixer (~150 rpm) to blend until smooth.
• Let the mixture rest for 5-10 minutes to activate the chemical components, then stir again before use.
• Use a notched trowel to spread TOA Protile adhesive evenly on the surface.
• Using the notched side of the trowel in a single direction, create uniform grooves, ensuring the proper thickness for the tile size.
• Place the tile onto the adhesive, pressing and tapping to secure complete contact and eliminate air gaps. This ensures maximum load-bearing capacity and prevents future tile detachment.
• Adjust tiles as needed within 15 minutes of application. Avoid adjustments beyond this period.

CURING AND GROUTING:

• Depending on environmental conditions, allow 24-48 hours of curing after tile installation before grouting.
• Use TOA Premium Grout that is suitable for the specific tile and application requirements.

RECOMMENDATION:

• Ensure surfaces are thoroughly moistened without standing water before tile installation.
• Avoid working in extreme heat or direct sunlight to prevent premature drying.
• Wear safety gear, such as gloves, dust masks, and goggles. If the product
• encounters your eyes, rinse immediately and seek medical attention.
• Keep children out of reach and do not ingest
• Clean tools with water immediately after use, before the material dries
• Avoid using the adhesive for tiling on wooden surfaces, asphalt sheets, coated walls, plastic, PVC, metal, or glass. (Do not expose to extreme cold for 72 hours.)
