TOA Roofseal Sun Block

TOA Roofseal Sun Block is an elastic acrylic emulsion product containing ceramic microspheres used for waterproofing and heat insulation. It provides protection even in harsh weather conditions thanks to its special light-reflecting technology: the SRP component in the pigment (solar-reflecting pigment), and the ceramic microsphere insulation material, which provides UV resistance and heat reflection up to 95%; a 100% seamless waterproofing membrane; 5 times higher flexibility and over 500% elongation; and effectively prevents and resolves cracks in concrete caused by rapid temperature changes.

Packaging: 1kg, 4kg/can, 20kg/drum.

Construction Guide

Surface preparation:

  • The surface must be clean from dust, cement laitance and oil grease.
  • In case of mold and algae, brush and clean with TOA 113 Microkill leave it dry before coating with TOA Roofseal Sun Block.
  • Deformed paint or coating must be thoroughly cleaned before application.
  • Fill all cracks wide with TOA Polyurethane Sealant then leave it dry before coating with TOA Roofseal Sun Block.
  • Repair concrete crumbling or big cracks on surfaces with TOA Latex Agent prior to coating.
  • Polish the rust on metal surfaces prior to coating.

Application:

  • Stir well at a slow speed before use, especially with pre-mixed colored waterproofing paint.
  • For roofs, apply TOA Roofseal Sun Block, diluted with clean fresh water at a 3:1 ratio, as a primer coat, allowing to dry for 2-4 hours.
  • For metal roofs, apply one coat of Rust Tech to prevent rust and improve adhesion.
  • For old tile roofs, apply one coat of TOA Epoguard Varnish to improve adhesion.
  • If necessary, reinforce with TOA Fiber Mesh to improve adhesion and prevent cracking, immediately after applying the primer coat, applying pressure to the reinforcing mesh on the surface.
  • Apply TOA Roofseal Sun Block with a pressure spray gun in 2 or 3 coats, allowing each coat to dry for 2-4 hours.

Recommended:

  • The cracks must be sealed before the primary coat. Reinforce with TOA Fiber mesh while wet before coating with TOA Roofseal Sun Block 2 – 3 coats.
