TOA Skimcoat 2in1

• Application tools: Trowel or putty knife, spray machine.
• Mixing: Use about 14 - 16 liter of clean water for a 40 kg bag. Add slowly Skimcoat into water to avoid lumping. Mix thoroughly the mixture for about 5 – 7 mins, let 3 mins, then mix well again before application. Cleaning Clean equipment with clean water immediately after use.

SURFACE PREPARATION

New surface

• Let the concrete must be cured and allowed to fully dry and hardened at least 28 days in ambient condition (average temperature is 25°C -35°C, relative humidity <80%), the surface moisture is not exceed 16% (specialized measuring testing equipment). pH value is about 6- <9.
• Remove all dust, grease, wax, laitance, chalking and others contamination from the surface by specialized machine as: grinding, sanding, vacuum cleaner, high pressure water jet and proper cleanness, dry completely.

Old surface

• Remove all dust, fungus, algae, loose old paint or others contamination from the surface by specialized machine as: grinding, sanding, vacuum cleaner, high pressure water jet and proper cleanness.
• Then, treat the areas attacked by fungus, algae with proper chemicals.
• Wash the surface if required, let it fully dry, the substrate. moisture must be lower than 16% (specialized measuring testing equipment).

APPLICATION

• Apply a layer TOA Skimcoat 2in1 of approx. 1-3 mm thickness by using trowel or putty knife to make a smooth layer and let dry completely. (The Skimcoat thickness will depend on the actual condition and quality of the substrate and will be adjusted accordingly).
• Applying the next layer at least 2-4 hours. (The drying time may vary depending on weather conditions, temperature, and the thickness of the Skimcoat layer. However, the Skimcoat must be completely dry before applying the subsequent coat).
• The sanding time for the finished Skimcoat layer may vary depending on weather conditions and ambient temperature, but it shall not be less than 4 hours.
• Remove all dust and debris from the surface. Then, use a roller dampened with clean water to roll evenly over the skim coat surface to completely remove any remaining dust. Allow the wall to dry completely before applying the paint.

NOTICE

• Apply multiple skim coat layers to achieve the required thickness, depending on the substrate condition and application method. However, the average total thickness of all skim coat layers shall not exceed 6 mm.
• Do not apply when surface temperature is above 40°C.
• On dry wall and highly absorbent surface, need to wet surface and reduce surface temperature before applying.
• For good finishing, should use recommended paint systems and application instruction from TOA Paint (Vietnam) Co., Ltd.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

• Please do not handle until all safety precautions have been read and understood.
• Wear protective gloves, respirator, eye protection, protective clothing.
• Avoid contact with skin, eyes or ingestion. Go right to the nearest health center for help in case of ingesting paint or paint contacts with eyes.
• Avoid release to the environment. Treat discarded paint according to environmental law.
