TOA Water Bloc is a special SBR modified-polymer, designed to possess waterproofing properties and extremely flexible with 1000 % elongation. It is a ready to use from the container.

TOA Water Bloc provides the following beneficial properties:
- Water based, easy to use.
- 1000% elongation approx.
- Prevent water penetration.
- Can be fixed on concrete substrate and paint.
- Against hydrostatic pressure for positive and negative side.
- Good adhesion to various substrates ie. concrete, wood, existing tile, metal, gypsum.
- Ready to use after 7 days at room temperature.
- Non-toxic.

Intended use:

TOA Water Bloc is used for internal waterproofing of:
- Shower recess prior to tiling.
- Washing area.
- Gutter concrete, swimming pool.
- Terrace.

Color: White
Density at 25ºC: 1.20 – 1.22 kg/l
Usage rate: approx. 1.0 kg./ sq.meter at thickness 300 - 350 micron (dry film, 2 coats)
Solid Content : 61.5 – 63.5 %
pH at 25 oC : 9.00 – 10.0
Viscosity at 25 oC : 115 – 120 KU
Elongation (ASTM D 412): ≈ 1,000 %
Volatile Organic Compound (ISO 11890-2): < 1.1 g/l

Surface preparation:

Surface must be clean and dry. Remove all mildew, laitance, mould, oil, grease from release agent, dust, dirt and previous coatings which are poorly adhered.
In case of mold and algae, brush and clean with TOA 113 Microkill then leave it dry for 24 hours before coating with TOA Water Bloc.
Deformed paint or coating must be thoroughly cleaned before application.
Fill all cracks wider than 1 mm. with TOA 302 Acrylic Sealant and allow drying.

Application:

Stir well before use.
Mix TOA Water Bloc with clean water in the ratio of 3:1 and apply as the primary coat, leave it to dry for approximately 3 – 4 hours.
Apply a first coat of TOA Water Bloc (No need to add water) then leave it dry for 24 hours approximately.
- Apply a second coat of TOA Water Bloc (No need to add water) then leave it dry for 24 hours approximately.

Recommended:

The surface must be dried prior to apply.
TOA Water Bloc should not be applied to new concrete less than 28 days old and other cementitious surfaces less than 7 days old.
Don't use this product while raining.
The crack must be sealed before the primary coat. Reinforce with TOA Fiber mesh while wet before coating with TOA Water Bloc 1 - 2 coats.
Suitable for interior, in case of exterior should have tile, screed, render or paint to cover TOA Water Bloc.
For bath rooms, swimming pool can be tiled after the second coat 7 days.
Clean all tools immediately after use with water.
