TOA Wall Mastic Exterior is exterior wall putty used for surfaces of cement wall celling, concrete , which need to be smooth before applying sealer or topcoats. It’s suitable for all kinds of exterior emulsion paints. Non-flaking, non-cracking.

Intended use:

TOA Wall Mastic Exterior is used for repairing to surface defects, smoothing on concrete, brick and block works etc. before applying paints.

Component ratio: Cement, Filler , Polymers and Additive
Bulk Density: 1005 +/- 40 g /ltr. (Dry Powder)
Theoretical coverage: 1.2-1.3 Kg/m²/2 coats (depends on substrate surface)
Setting time: (According to TCVN 6017-2015)
- Start: Not early than 5 hours
- Finish: Not later than 7.5 hours
Adhesion to the background 96h: Not less than 0.5 MPa
Surface hardness after 96h: Not less than 0.25 MPa
Adhesion strength: (According to TCVN 7239-2014)
- Standard condition: >/= 0.45 MPa
- After soaking in 72 hours: >/= 0.3 MPa

- Application Tools: Trowel or putty knife
- Dilution Thinner: Fresh water
- Mixing: Use about 14 - 16 litre of clean water for a 40 kg bag of putty. Add slowly TOA Wall Mastic Exterior into water to avoid lumping. Mix thoroughly the mixture for about 7 – 10 mins then mix well again before application.

Surface preparation
* New surface: the surface must be clean, free from dust, oil, greases and other contamination. Do not apply when the moisture of substrate is higher than 16% according to Protimeter. Let new surface completely dry in 28 days before applying.
* Old surface: Remove old paints, make surface clean and free of contamination.Completely fix the root causes of moisture or water before applying
Application
* Apply the first layer of approx. 1 - 2 mm thickness by using trowel or putty knife to make a smooth layer.
* After 1 - 2 hours, apply the second layer with the same thickness as the first
* Let the second layer dry in 1 day, smooth surface with sanding paper
* After sanding, use a broom to clean the surface from dust, roll over the surface by wet towel or absorbent roller and then waiting in 1-2 hours before applying
Note
* Do not plaster over 3 mm thickness
* Do not apply when surface temperature is above 40^oC
* On dry wall and highly absorbent surface, need to make surface wet and reduce surface temperature before applying.
* For good finishing, should use recommened paint systems and application instruction from TOA Paint Vietnam Co., LTD.
