TOA 258 Cement Membrane is a two-pack cement waterproofing cement-based. Part A is a modified polymer and part B is a mixed powders compound of cement and aggregate which provides a special flexible and durable waterproofing membrane for mortar and concrete substrate.

TOA 258 Cement Membrane is suitable for new and renovation constructions.

Intended use:

TOA 258 Cement Membrane is used waterproof for mortar, concrete substrate with topcoat protection:
1. Basement, bathroom, kitchen area, balconies, terraces, flat roof, and wet area before ceramic tilling.
2. Internal concrete of residential water tanks, fire water tank, swimming pool,… before ceramic tilling.
Packing size:
Unit 20 Kg (part A: 5 Kg + part B: 15 Kg)

Mixing ratio: Part A ː B = 1 ː 3 (by weight)
Theoretical coverage: 2.0 ± 0.20 kg/m2/2 films. Actual surface coverage will be depended on surface irregularities, technique and wastage during apply.
Adhesion strength after 28 days (ASTM D 7234-19): > 1.00 MPa
Crack bridging ability under standard condition (BS EN 14891ː2017): > 0.75 mm

SURFACE PREPARATION: The mortar and concrete surfaces must be cleaned, ensuring no dust dirt, oil, grease, old coatings, curing agents, or other impurities on the substrate surface. Absorbent surfaces must be completely saturated by freshwater before application.

MIXING:

Mix with a mixer at low speed 300 – 500 rpm. Put ¾ part A in a clean pail, add part B slowly, and mix at least 3 minutes to get a lump-free homogenous mix. Add part A remainder and mix until homogenous.

APPLICATION:

- Using trowel, brush, roller, sprayer, apply a layer of mixed mortar onto the treated surface, which has been cleaned as well as saturated with clean water. Allow drying for 3 – 6 hours before applying the next coat.

- When applying on a horizontal surface, it is recommended to apply the next coating after 24 hours to ensure that the application process does not affect the former layer.

- Allow drying completely for at least 7 days before putting it into use.

* Recommended:

- It’s necessary to protect damp treatment at least for 3 – 5 days after application, to avoid sunlight direct, high temperature or high win, frost condition that quickly dries effect to waterproofing quality.

- Curing is recommended with nylon sheeting, damp sacks, or TOA-approved professional concrete curing agents.

- Apply between 5^oC to 35^oC air temperature and below 80% relative humidity.

STORAGE:

- Preserved in a dry, cool, shaded area.

- Store in temperatures from 10-30^oC.
